1st Upton-by-Chester Scouts takes data protection very seriously, and will take all possible steps to ensure that information is kept safe, accurate, and only retained as long as necessary. We never share your data with anyone outside The Scout Association – and even then only to those entitled to see it

In the case of our members, processing of personal data is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by 1st Upton-by-Chester Scouts (except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data – in particular where the data subject is a child)

In all other cases, we obtain consent before processing any personal data

• Health information and details for use in case of emergency whilst you take part in any of our activities or events
• Your current role in the Scouts and any previous ones

We check the terms and conditions and privacy notice of any cloud storage provider, email provider, web server, online survey tool, etc to ensure that personal data in our care is not compromised

Credit card details

Chester Scouts will never ask for credit or charge card details via our website
